Hand-crafted in the Lake District

This headline is actually something we proudly print on every label of our beers. The Lake District is not only our home, it is the very essence of what we create. Our beautiful surroundings inspire us every day to produce our exceptional hand-crafted beers. Brewed with care, attention to detail and respect for the ingredients we always aim for the perfect pint.

Our beers are produced in casks and kegs for all the fantastic pubs, restaurants and bars selling our products. And our bottled range is perfect for shops and retailers as well as everyone who wants to buy from us directly.

Swan Blonde

ABV: 4% ABV

Beer Description: Our best-selling beer, Swan Blonde is a delicious, light and crisp pale ale. It’s bursting with flavour, thanks to the extra pale malts and hops with a citrusy and tropical fruit profile.

Swan Black

ABV: 4.6% ABV

Beer Type: Black IPA

Beer Description: A rich, chocolatey sweetness is paired with subtle citrus notes in this black IPA. Expect a distinct, toasty and dark malt character from this hoppy beer.

Swan Gold

ABV: 4.2% ABV

Beer Description: With smooth floral hints of apricot, lime and peach, this golden ale is the ultimate refresher. An irresistible aroma combined with the freshness of our Lakeland spring water.

Steamer IPA

ABV: 5.7% ABV

Beer Description: An award-winning American-style IPA, Steamer owes its smooth taste profile and golden colour to a delicious blend of citrusy hops and caramel malts.

Raven Red

ABV: 4.2% ABV

Beer Type: Red Ale

Beer Description: Treacle caramel flavours and a hint of roasted barley are blended with New World Citra and Columbus hops, which infuse this red ale with a balanced grapefruit aroma.

Swift Best

ABV: 3.8% ABV

Beer Type: Amber Bitter

Beer Description: Full and rounded, Swift Best has a creamy caramel base to match its hop character. Made with crystal malt and a secret blend of hops, this is a smooth, flavoursome, and moreish beer.

Lakeland Blonde

ABV: 3.7% ABV

Beer Type: Pale Ale

Beer Description: This crowd pleaser session pale ale is known for its smooth mouth feel and citrusy, summer fruit flavour which makes this pale ale such a thirst quencher.

Fell Walker

ABV: 4.1% ABV

Beer Description: A traditional, thirst-quenching golden ale brewed with a combination of European and English hops. The mellow bitterness paired with a crisp citrus aroma makes this pale ale so popular.

Fell Runner

ABV: 4.6% ABV

Beer Description: This ale uses a blend of Cascade, Simcoe, and Citra hops, combined with extra pale and biscuit Munich malt. It has a smooth mouth feel with a fresh hoppy aroma and bitter finish.

Midlife Crisis

Beer Description: This traditional English IPA is brewed with UK grown Cascade hops for a subtle grapefruit aroma.

Senior Moment

Middle Aged Spread

Beer Description: A black malty ale with strong roasted coffee and dark chocolate aroma. A big favourite with those that love a good stout.

Lakes Lager

ABV: 5% ABV

Beer Description: A light bohemian-style lager beer with a hoppy flavour. This cold fermented Pilsner has an intense, refreshing zestiness. It’s also our head brewer’s favourite.

Helles Lager

ABV: 5% ABV

Beer Description: A great combination with a touch of sweetness, balanced with an addition of spicy German hops and a hint of bitterness. Clean and crisp, this is a refreshing lager with substance.

Swan Free Pale Ale

ABV: 0.5% ABV

Beer Type: Low Alcohol Pale Ale

Beer Description: An American triple hopped session IPA with a difference. Modern brewing techniques deliver a full flavour, hop forward craft beer with only 0.5% ABV. A great choice when you fancy a very low alcohol alternative.

Swan Free Craft Lager

ABV: 0.5% ABV

Beer Type: Low Alcohol Lager

Beer Description: Czech Polsner style with a classic continental bite and an aromatic hint of stone fruits and citrus. This low alcohol lager is bright and crisp on the palate with only 0.5% ABV.

Swan Free Chocolate Porter

ABV: 0.5% ABV

Beer Type: Low Alcohol Porter

Beer Description: Roasted cacao and rich black malts are blended to create a distinctive chocolate infused porter with hints of vanilla and caramel. A darker proposition for those seeking a low alcohol option.

World beer awards

We know our customers love our beers because they tell us and frankly that really is the greatest honour for our brewing team. Winning World Beer Awards is also important though because it’s among the best-regarded prizes for our industry globally. Only the very best in all the internationally recognised styles are selected to receive a medal.

That’s why we very proudly accepted a bronze medal for our low alcohol Swan Free for the second consecutive year, while our Helles Lager was awarded no less than a coveted silver medal.

Steamer IPA achieved a bronze medal at the World Beer Awards, following on from two gold awards at the Society of Independent Brewers Awards (North) in 2018.

Even if it is the taking part that counts, having our hard work and passion for crafting amazing beer recognised is a reason to celebrate.
